Jefferson Vinton Farr - 75 years old died Monday, October 22 1945 in Hindostan, IN -  Parents were Thomas J and Susan Goble Farr.  Survived by son, Aubrey Farr; daughter, Mrs. June Fulkner and sister, Mrs. William Whisenand.  Services at Allen funeral home chapel with burial in Hindostan cemetery. - The World Telephone, Monday October 22, 1945– shared by Judy Jefferson

FICKEL

Lela Fickel, 98 of 2911 W. Kenwood, West Peoria, died at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 at her residence.  Born 01 February 1908 in Bloomington, Indiana, a daughter of Charles W. and Rhoda Parsley Foreman, she married Cleon V. Fickel on 26 September 1936 in Peoria, Illinois.  He died in Peoria on 06 March 1986.   She was preceded in death by one daughter, Delores V. Swords, in 2001; four sisters and one brother.  Surviving are two granddaughters, Toni (and Ron) Hany of Groveland, Illinois and Terri (and David) Faux of Peoria, Illinois; one grandson, Steve Swords of Shreveport, Louisiana; her friend and caregiver Ginger Becella of Morton, Illinois; five great-grandchildren; eight great – great – grandchildren; two sisters Leona Campbell and Irene Campbell, both of Bloomington, Indiana and many nephews and nieces.  She had been employed as a cook for Caterpillar, Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 1962.  She was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club and was of the Baptist faith.  Services will be 1 p.m. today at Wilton Mortuary, 2101 N. Knoxville, Ave., Peoria, Illinois.  Rev. Steven Swords will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Wiley Cemetery near Fiatt, Illinois in rural Fulton County.  Memorials may be made to the Wiley Cemetery Fund. – Hoosier Times, Sunday, 07 May 2006– shared by Dorothy Hamm

Ione Figg  - Born January 28, 1902 in Freedom, IN - Died May 16, 1982 in Bloomington, IN  Parents were Dr. Wesley and Daisy (McBride) Light.  Survived by daughter, Judy Davis and sister, June Wyatt.  Preceded in death by her husband, John Figg and a brother.  Services at First Baptist United Church of Christ, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.  - The Herald-Telephone, Bloomington, IN, Wednesday, May 17, 1982 – shared by Judy Jefferson

William Edward Fulford - Born March 3, 1922 in Bloomington, IN - Died November 26, 1999 in Bloomington, IN  Parents were John Wesly and Mary Alice (Bell) Fulford.  Survived by brother Joseph Fulford and sisters, Flora Barger and Letha Sexton. - The Herald-Times, Bloomington, IN - Saturday, November 27, 1999

Mrs. Spya(sic) Fulford, age 78, well known resident of Washington township, died at 4:30 this morning at her home, of senility and complication of diseases. She is survived by four sons and three daughter. Mrs. Fulford was a member of the Christian church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o’clock from the Hindustan church in charge of the Rev. A.J. McCoy. Burial will be at the Hindustan cemetery. – Bloomington Evening World, 11 February 1922
